A land ambulance as well as an air ambulance attended an incident in Ross when an elderly man was taken ill in the reception of a solicitors in Ross last Friday, May 4th.
Andy Caldicott, a long-standing partner with the Three Counties law firm, heads up the Harrison Clark Shawcross office in High Street, Ross-on-Wye.
Mr Caldicott said: "Harrison Clark Shawcross can confirm that an elderly gentleman was taken very ill in our reception area on Friday (May 4th) afternoon.
"Two members of staff acted quickly when it became clear that the gentleman was extremely poorly and they administered CPR while contacting the emergency services.
"Despite their best efforts, and those of the emergency services on arrival, the gentleman later, very sadly, died. We would like to offer our deepest sympathies to his family and our thoughts are with them at this time.
"The Harrison Clark Shawcross offices were closed for the remainder of the day on Friday as a mark of respect and staff went home as they were understandably shaken and upset."
