Weston Athletic 9 – Redbrook Rovers 1
FORMER Longhope reserves and now Weston Athletic with new player/manager, Eli Wooding, plus a few new faces, opened the season with an amazing but unexpected 9-1 home win over Redbrook Rovers with some excellent football all around the park.
Wednesday night they beat Puma fc 3-0 with Eli Wooding 2 and Dewi Stuart 1. This time they didn't have things all there own way by not keeping possession or creating as many chances as the game before but still coming away with the points.
This Saturday was another home win against local side English Bicknor and saw Weston return to playing the way they did in the opening game dominating from start to finish with far more possession and came away with a well deserved 6-0 win. Eli Wooding 4, Robbie Cowles and Stephen Kittner the scorers.
This Saturday they have another home game against Tidenham.
