Walford Timber has presented long service awards to two of its employees, both of whom have been with the company, which is based at Walford near Ross-on-Wye, for 40 years this year.

Julian Symonds and William Teiser joined the company within three weeks of each other in 1978, both aged 16 at the time.

George Smith, Managing Director of the company, presented the awards and thanked Julian and William for their dedication and commitment to the company over so many years. They have both seen many changes during those 40 years and continue to be integral to the operations of the business today.

Walford Timber is a family owned business that was established in 1945 and puts its success down to the knowledge and expertise of its staff, many of whom have been with the company for 20 years or more.

After the presentations, the company celebrated the achievements at the Mill Race in Walford.
