The Larruperz Centre was once again the venue for the Reel Club’s annual Valentine Dance. Over 60 dancers from Ross, and neighbouring counties, joined in a variety of Reels, Jigs and Strathspeys to the excellent music of Ian Slater.
Member Derek Latham walked the dancers through a few of the more complex dances identified in the Programme. The evening finished with everyone in a circle singing Auld Lang Syne.
Everyone had a chance to draw breath and enjoy an American supper at the interval. It is thanks to the Reel Club Committee for all their efforts in ensuring the success of the event, from serving teas and coffees, to the lovely floral and Scottish decorations on the stage.
The club meets every Wednesday evening from 7.45 until 10pm at the Larruperz Centre from Mid-September until the end of June each year and welcomes guests and newcomers. It also has two afternoon dances at Bishopswood during August and one other public dance in November.
