The biggest annual one-day business-to-business show in the Forest of Dean is set to return in April.

The Forest of Dean Enterprise Fair - which combines networking, exhibitions and a series of seminars on small business issues – has been run successfully for a number of years and this year’s event will see it moved to a new venue.

The event this year will take place on Wednesday, April 18th, at the Vantage Point Business Village in Mitcheldean from 9:30am until 4pm.

The show will be run once again by the Forest of Dean Entrepreneurs, with extra support this year coming from Vantage Point and the FSB (Federation of Small Businesses) who have both given their full backing to the show.

Eight sponsors have come on board, and the twenty-five exhibitor spaces are being taken up very quickly. The event is free to attend, including seminars led by three top speakers who will be offering attendees practical advice:

• 10.00am: 10 Steps to Social Media Success – Luan Wise

• 12.30pm: Launching Your Business - Start and Grow Enterprise

• 2.30pm: Marketing Made Simple – ALS Marketing

Andrew Maliphant, who chairs the event’s steering group on behalf of the Entrepreneurs, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Vantage Point Business Village and the FSB as we jointly develop the fifth Forest Enterprise Fair.

As well as providing a showcase for businesses to sell to business, there will also be a wealth of support for small and start-up businesses, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to the event.”

Gloucestershire’s biggest business group – the FSB – is also actively supporting the event and will have a stand among many other exhibitors on the day. Their development manager, Sam Holliday, said he hoped it would be a real celebration of the Forest of Dean business community.

‘’There are many diverse and successful small businesses in the Forest of Dean - this event gives them all a chance to mix together, network and offer mutual support and advice. With the added ingredient of first class seminars it should be a day which puts the small business community in the Forest firmly on the map.’’
