A YOUTH theatre group is busy rehearsing for their current show, where tickets are already on sale.

The show “Arrivederci Walsley” is written by Julie Church of the Larruperz Community Centre.

The group, The Drama Company Performers, is a not for profit local youth theatre group that has been running for more than 12 years and currently has 25 young performing members, with an age ranging from seven to 17 years.

Show dates and times are November 11 at 7pm, November 12 at 2pm and 7pm, and November 13 at 2pm, and the play is suitable for all the family.

Tickets are priced at £11.50 adults, £6 child and £7.50 students and are available on ticket source where you can book direct on line and choose your seats.

Organisers told the Gazette: “The young company would really love your support and you are sure to be in for a superb quality performance where our young performers hope to shine and take you on an adventure.”

The play is set in a Manor House called Walsley and hides lots of secrets.

One of those secrets is the family of mini folk who live under the floorboards and like to explore the house, borrow things from the owners and turn them into useful things, spreading love along the way.

One day, a young boy called Alfie collides with the mini folk and they set off on an exciting adventure to help save Walsey Manor once and for all. Will they succeed and save the day?

There are three adorable bats Fruity, Buffy, and Indy to meet and a not so nice cat called Persephone.

The play was written by the talented Julie Church who wrote each role and story-line for each cast member.

Julie has worked with the theatre group for more than ten years.

The show is directed by Sarah O’Neill who runs the theatre group and both Julie, Sarah, and the group chaperone Mel pride themselves on the “family feel good” factor.

Each member of the group is nurtured and encouraged and they all work very hard, but make sure they have a lot of fun along the way too.

The theatre group also offer weekly drama classes at The Larruperz for young people aged 5 to 18.
