Ross Penyard Singers are very excited to be giving their very first performance of a new setting of the ‘Advent Antiphons’ at their next concert on Saturday, December 3 at St Mary’s Church, with proceeds from the performance going towards two local charities.

This new music has been composed by talented local musician Simon Peberdy, who will also be accompanying the choir on the piano. The choir are very grateful to have been given this opportunity, especially as they will be singing in the beautiful surroundings of St Mary’s Church.

The concert, on the theme of advent, is called “O Radiant Dawn” and will include music by James MacMillan and John Rutter, as well as some traditional carols.

The choir will be led by their musical director Pippa Wright. The concert will start at 7pm, and will include an interval when raffle tickets and drinks may be purchased.

Continuing a long tradition of supporting local causes, all funds raised by the raffle will be split evenly between Tudorville Community Centre and Ross Community Garden—which has been instrumental in Ross’s warm rooms initiative.

Tickets for the concert cost £10 and are available from Liz by calling 01989 750233, or online.

The choir will also be performing at the Ross Christmas Fayre on Sunday, November 27, the singers welcome you to come along and get into the festive spirit.
