Ross Hockey Club 1st X1 travelled to Lydney for a Hereford & Gloucester Division 1 match. They were prepared to face a tough challenge, but after a feast of goals, Ross came away victorious.
The home team took the push back and instantly showed how they were going to play. Ross stepped up the pace to gain on the opposition's 'D', with Tom Walton flexing his moves, putting his own stamp on the game. He scored twice for Ross in the early stages.
This caused some frustration among the Lydney players who were determined not to lose, and it didn't take long for cracks to appear which Ross used to their full advantage with the defenders, Rich Jennison, Dave Skyrme, Tony Faulkner, Luke Ward and Brian Clare remaining tight on the Lydney attacks.
