The next event organised by the Ross Library Development Group for members and friends is on September 19th. Tim Shelley, the project leader at Ross Community Garden will be speaking on the subject of ‘Slowing Down’.

Mr Shelley will talk about taking on the challenge of developing the garden, and about what it means to him and to the very wide range of people who benefit from being involved with it. And he will focus on the garden as a place to work more slowly, reflect more deeply and enjoy the wonders of the natural world.

There is also an exciting opportunity for those interested in poetry. Anne-Marie Dossett from the library service has set up a series of workshops with Adam Horovitz, who was the last poet in residence. Numbers for these workshops, which are taking place on Wednesdays between 2pm and 4pm on October 4th, October 18th, November 1st and November 15th, are limited. They are taking place at Ross Library and will end with a performance.

If you are interested please get in touch with Steve via email at [email protected] and book a place as soon as possible.
