Madam, In reply to Mr Meek's letter last week regarding the derelict buildings on Brookend Street, I agree with him that it has lowered the tone of the street, I am trying to find out at the moment how this and other buildings in the town have been able to sit derelict, deteriorating in the middle of our beautiful town for so long. I am delighted though that the owners of the site have now announced their intentions to bring forward the date to demolish those buildings in light of the recent notice served.

This is an excellent result for the town. I am continuing to work with the planning enforcement department looking at other eye sore buildings and sites around the town and hope to see many more improvements.
