There was quite a stir in the market place this afternoon (Friday, December 11th) as a television news crew from BBC Midlands came to interview those who have been involved in decorating Ross-on-Wye Christmas tree.

Katie Fowler was the first to be interviewed. On December 1st, she set up the Facebook page, Decorate Ross Christmas Tree, to encourage Ross-on-Wye residents to add their own baubles and decorations to the Christmas Tree outside the Market House.

The Ross Gazette featured the story the following day, and since then, more and more people have come forward to add their own pieces to the community tree.

The BBC news crew also interviewed some of those who were putting decorations on the tree this morning.

It is hoped that the segment on Ross Christmas Tree will air on the BBC news tonight, at approximately 6.30pm.
