Every year, in October, Herefordshire residents are encouraged to think about ways to be more energy efficient during a special event – h.Energy weekend.
This year h.Energy starts on Friday, October 7th at the Courtyard in Hereford, with a programme around fracking; a film entitled The Truth Behind The Dash for Gas, a panel talk on fracking and Seize The Day folk music will be playing.
The h.Energy hub will be at the beautiful Queenswood County Park on the A49 between Hereford and Leominster. There will be arts, crafts, Forest School and Wildplay fun for all the family, plus demonstrations, speakers and talks, h.Energy market stalls, local food, story telling and music.
h.Energy is New Leaf’s annual free festival in Herefordshire, celebrating the wealth of organisations and people in Herefordshire helping to provide us all with opportunities to live more sustainably. The festival creates a space where anyone can share their ideas about how we can create the future we hope to live in and enjoy art about sustainability and ecology.
And at Queenswood you’ll find all the information as well as art installations made by Herefordshire artists and students from Hereford College of Art, some of Herefordshire’s very own ‘Weirdshire’ musical folk magic, story telling, woodland fun for children, UK Fungus Day activities and the Gruffalo Trail.
