When Rachel Lewis, deputy town clerk, visited a Christmas tree festival a few years ago in South Wales she thought it would be a wonderful idea to recreate it in Ross. This year St Mary's Church is filled with nearly 60 trees of all different shapes and sizes, each one decorated by a business or an organisation from the town and even some individuals. The trees light up the church and are facinating to explore. The exhibition opened on Saturday after the town's lights were switched on. The children led a parade up to the church and everyone explored the displays and enjoyed hot punch and gingerbread. St Joseph's choir then sang to the visitors. To see all the photographs from the event, why not buy a copy of The Ross Gazette issue December 3rd.
