Private Timothy Richard Jenkins, from Ross lost his life during the Falklands conflict in 1982. He was just 18 years old. On Thursday, June 16th, almost 29 years to the day, Timothy's father John Jenkins was presented with the Elizabeth Cross in recognition of the sacrifice he, his son Martyn, and daughters Amanda and Tracy, had made when he died.
