Emma Creswick and her friend, Natasha Weale, recently took part in a skydive to raise funds for the Ross Gazette’s Charity of the Year, Rocky-Lees Little Feet.
They jumped from 10,000 feet and this included 30 seconds of freefall travelling at 120 mph. They have raised almost £2000 for the charity, which was founded by local residents, Sian Coopey and her husband, after they lost their son, Rocky Lee.
They set up the charity to help people who cannot afford a memorial headstone or plaque for their stillborn baby. The charity also wants to rasie awareness of the impact of pregnancy and baby loss with a view to bringing comfort to bereaved parents and their families after the loss of a baby.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now
