Whitchurch Fire Crew were called to Coppett Hill, Goodrich, yesterday (May 24th) at 10.30pm to reports of a possible fire in the open.

The 999 caller had reported that they were not certain if there was a fire, but they could see a light on the hill. The firefighters attended the scene nonetheless.

While it turned out that it was a false alarm, Whitchurch Fire Crew praised the caller’s “good intent” on their Twitter page.
