A group of 16 year olds, belonging to Team 5 of National Citizen Service (NCS), have been tasked to help their community. They have decided to focus on families and children, specifically raising money for the charity, Hope Support Services.

This Ross-based charity helps youngsters who have a family member who has been diagnosed with a serious illness. On Wednesday, August 22nd, at Bartestree Village Hall, Hereford, the team is hosting a charitable event between 11am and 3pm. Entry is free, although prices may vary on different activities, such as the tombola, bouncy castle, nail and face painting, bake sale, and much more.

While all families are welcome, the team want to especially invite foster families and disadvantaged families.

Team 5 members are hoping that as many families as possible will attend, and are excited that the day will, in turn, help families involved with Hope.

The team put posters up in Ross-on-Wye on August 18th, and have created a Facebook page and Twitter page for further information.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now
