Dear Editor
What a fantastic turn out by the people of Ross on Sunday, November 11th. Despite the weather, they turned out ,old and young alike, to honour the end of the First World War 100 years ago.
My Grandfather won the Military Cross on November 4th, 1918 and survived, he was a Gunner as I was. But for all that I was very disappointed that the Town Band were not there to play, consequently there were no hymns and no poignant music to add to the occasion. What a shame, I would like to know if there was a reason for their absence?
