MADAM, It is with great sadness that I must inform you that Ross Phoenix Majorettes are to disband in July. The majorettes have been around for nearly 19 years, and have been seen at many local fetes and carnivals, and have also enjoyed much competition success both at National and European levels. However, in recent years, it has become increasingly difficult to find new members to motivate the present ones, and to raise funds for costumes and equipment and running costs, to the point where it's no longer possible to continue. I would like to thank the people of Ross for their kind support over the years, and also organisations such as the Ross Lions, the Rotary Club, and the Leadership Trust for their donations.
