Despite the torrential rain just as Father Christmas made his arrival in the Market Place in Ross-on-Wye on Saturday, December 21st, hundreds of happy children and parents were waiting to meet him.

Father Christmas was accompanied by a special carrot and the Ross Carnival Prince and Princess.

The rain held off while the queues of chidren accepted their goody bags from members of the Young Farmers and then they had pictures taken with Father Christmas himself.There will be lots more pictures inside this week's Ross Gazette which will be available on Christmas Eve.
