MADAM, You will be pleased to know that I went to Shobdon on bank holiday Monday, August 29th for the flying lesson I won in the Ross Gazette competition. I took my two sons with me as passengers.

During the flight we came over Hereford to Ross and had time for a couple of circuits of Ross before heading back to Leominster and Shobdon. Although the day was not particularly sunny, we had fantastic visibility from the height of 2500 feet with views right across the Bristol Channel to the north Devon coast in one direction and as far the Birmingham plateau in the other.

The time literally flew by and we were soon back on the ground.

My sons and I would like to thank all at the Ross Gazette and the Herefordshire Aero Club for a really enjoyable afternoon and can recommend the experience to others.

Martin Flach
