Dan Gray and co-driver Rob Tuckwell had a faultless run on last weekend's Somerset Stages in the I M Gray Plumbing and Heating/Monmouth Car Centre-backed Peugeot 106. Round three of the BTRDA series went west to Minehead offering the 140 crews 11 special stages including two runs up the famous Porlock Toll Road making up the 43 competitive miles in the Brendon Hills.

For Gray the event went like clockwork to finish 56th overall, ninth in class and 10th 1400 home. "We've not put a spanner on the car all day. Although I seriously need more power I am giving away 100 bhp to the guys at the front and its frustrating at times, but we can look forward to the Plains now. Thanks to the boys for servicing," said Gray.

The event was won by Hugh Hunter Focus WRC by six seconds from Roger Chilman Impreza WRC. Julian Wilkes totally dominated the 1400 category in his Nova winning by over a minute.
