A young couple, who live in Ross-on-Wye, believe they have fallen victim to fraudsters who may have gained access to their personal computer via their internet router, provided by TalkTalk.

They believe that this is a separate incident, and not part of the latest security breach which was reported nationally last Wednesday.

Jamie Webb was using the computer two weeks ago when he received a telephone call from some- one claiming to be from TalkTalk. At first they engaged him in conversation, then started asking for bank details. At this point Mr Webb realised it was probably a scam and tried to end the conver- sation, but his partner, Annabelle Carlson, told the Ross Gazette that at this point the ‘hacker’ started making unpleasant comments and remotely pulled up a photograph of herself with her young child onto the family’s laptop.

It was a picture taken several years ago and Ms Carlson and her daughter were naked in the shower. Ms Carlson told the Ross Gazette that her partner was in shock at seeing the cursor move around the computer screen when he was not in contact with the mouse.
