Residents have noticed that the temporary fencing alongside the wall at Ross Library is still in place although work to repair the wall has finished.
This is because work is ongoing to turn this area into a garden.
Work is currently underway on the Chapel, next door to the library, to accommodate the Children’s Centre. As part of that work, the overgrown library shrubbery is being turned into a garden. It will have a new boundary fence on top of the wall for safety.
While the work is progressing the fence has been kept up for safety reasons but it is planned to install a proper fence on top of the wall when the garden is complete.
Work should be finished before the summer holidays so the children can enjoy the new garden.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
