Ross Lions and Rotary Clubs are joining together to bring Ross-on-Wye its own Beer and Cider Festival this year. Timed to fit in with the River Festival Bank Holiday weekend, the Festival will be held on Saturday, May 3rd and Sunday, May 4th at the Rowing Club. It has been over a year in the planning.
In order to give Ross people the chance to buy tickets early, there will be a stall in the Market Place from 10 – 3pm on Saturday, February 15th where adults can purchase as many tickets as they would like. The Festival is divided into four sessions, two per day from 11 – 4pm and 6 – 11pm. A ticket for one session is only £5 per person and that includes a free souvenir glass.
Festival Planner Sam Phillips said: "Tickets will be strictly limited so we advise anyone interested in coming to get theirs as soon as possible. This is why we will be selling them in the Market Place on Saturday 15th, to give Ross residents the first chance to get one!"
As well as local beers and ciders, there will be food available from the Rowing Club and music in a variety of styles. The website for the Festival is http://www.rowbcf.org">www.rowbcf.org, which will carry more information as the event draws nearer. If the Festival goes well it could be a new addition to the Ross calendar of community events – Cheers!
