Rev’d Simon Tarlton has been a much loved and popular Curate at St Mary’s, St Michael’s, Brampton Abbotts and St Michael’s in Walford for the past three years.

He is well known amongst many in the town for his championing of the ecumenical Community Larder and the adjoining Community Café where he is always present and willing to listen and help people in any way he can.

Simon has proved himself a very able and inspiring priest during the Interregnum between the departure of Rev’d Sarah Jones and the new Rector Revd Sean Semple. He is leaving to take charge of  his own first parish, Bartestree Cross. His final service will be Choral Evensong at 7.30pm this Thursday, August 22nd to which everyone is very welcome to enjoy and wish Simon and his family well for the future.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
