MADAM, I have been trying to find my school mate, and later shipmate Alan Taylor. We were pals from primary school. I then lived in Alton Road and Alan in the adapted Army huts off Alton Road, adjacent to the Drill Hall. Out of school we spent most of our time roaming Chase, Penyard and Merrivale Woods.

Alan joined the Royal Navy two months ahead of me, we were under training at H.M.S. Ceres and later messmates in H.M.S. Adamant. We met up again in different ships in Singapore in 1959.

I have tried all the usual search methods including telephone directories and Service Pals Websites. I believe that Alan is now living in the Portsmouth area. I also believe that he has relatives living in Ross. I will be most grateful for any assistance resulting in a reunion with Alan as time is passing at a fearful gallop.
