THE fire station in Ross-on-Wye is hosting an open day to raise money for the fire fighters charity.
The event on June 14, at the fire station in Gloucester Road will feature games, truck rides, kit try on, a barbecue, and various demonstrations at specific times of the day.
These include a demonstration around a road traffic collision at 11am and a chip pan fire at 12.30pm.
There is a new feature this year. The construction of the new drill tower made of steel has been completed, which will enable firefighters to train at height. This demonstration will be staged at 1.30pm.
The open day runs 10am to 3pm with parking being arranged at the Wolf Business Park.
