With heavy rain over the weekend, the Met Office have reported that river levels remain high at the Ross-on-Wye river gauge. Flooding is affecting properties and roads in and around and Ross-on-Wye and across areas of Herefordshire, leading to closures.

A Met Office spokesperson said: The river level at Mordiford river gauge peaked at 5.23m on Sunday evening, and is currently peaking at Ross-on-Wye at 4.7m.

"We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses."

Currently, the B4234 is closed from Walford to Lydbrook due to flooding, as is the B4229, on the Goodrich side of Kerne Bridge.

A road closure is also in place on the A4137 from Tuck Mill Lane at Marstow, near Ross-on-Wye.

The entrance to Homs Road Car Park is flooded, and although not officially closed, many roads are inaccessible. We will keep this updated as further roads are reported to be closed.
