Cyclists biking through the Forest of Dean’s most popular cycling route will be able to buy local beer, cider and wine soon.
The district council’s planning committee unanimously granted Dean Forest Cycles to sell alcohol.
The cycle hire centre, based in Parkend, will sell locally made alcohol between 12pm to 5pm every day of the week.
The owners of the shop, Angela and Alexander Clayton, intend to sell premium bottled local beers, cider and wine – but not spirits – as part of a food package.
The shop is based at the start of the family cycle trail in the village of Parkend.
