Madam, I note the many deserved congratulations that are published in the Gazette from time to time. They have made me think of the almost forgotten contribution to the welfare of elderly citizens made by the drivers of the town run-around bus service that we have lost. It was an excellent, helpful, service to those of us without cars. Drivers, who were always cheerful, went out of their way to ensure that when we returned home we would be dropped off at the most convenient spots for us. On behalf of all of us who travelled on the run-around, I hope that the drivers will see this 'Thank you' for those happy trips into town and back. Chris Mantle, Ross-on-Wye
