Luke Pavey, a former student at the John Kyrle High School, spent the best part of a year filming a Welsh-speaking farmer, showing all the trials and tribulations of life as a hill farmer in North Wales, and now he is in line for two British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) in Wales. Luke originally planned to study history after completing his A levels at JKHS, but at the last minute, changed to journalism at Cardiff. After he graduated he started work for BBC Wales as a researcher and assistant producer. He then began freelancing and worked on the observational documentary 'The Hill Farm' for BBC Wales.
