The British High Commissioner to Fiji, and former John Kyrle High School pupil, Melanie Hopkins has been at the centre of the world’s attention recently.
She welcomed the Duchess of Sussex to Fiji and was the host for the Meghan’s first solo engagement when she visited the British High Commissioner’s residence for morning tea. Her Royal Highness met with women and men who advocate for women’s rights.
She then visited the market and Her Royal Highness saw how a coconut is scraped and discovered some of the uses for the coconut pulp.
