MADAM, Again I feel that this letter needs to be written. After several letters to you in the past this situation is still ongoing and getting worse.

Everywhere you look and walk in Verschoyle Gardens dogs have fouled and it's been left for children and others to walk, fall and play in. It is not up to anyone else to deal with it. People really do need to start picking up their own dogs mess and this letter wouldn't need to be written. Perhaps if they start getting fines then they may think twice about leaving it.

I am sick of having to pick up other peoples' dogs' mess so that my children can go out to play. I decided it was time to call our local councillor Andrew Atkinson as I have read he is trying to deal with this himself.

He very kindly arranged to meet me at my home so I could take him around Verschoyle to show him just how bad it is. He was totally amazed about how big the problem is. He not only spoke to myself but to some of my neighbours that also find it on their lawns and by their gates and who feel the same as I do about this problem.

After Councillor Atkinson left, my neighbours and I felt quite sorry for him as it seems that he is fighting a losing battle. We need others like him to care and come forward in hope this gets sorted. It has become a big problem not only in Verschoyle but by local schools etc.

I know from other people's letters to you and on facebook that there are others out there that feel the same as I do. Here's hoping the Town council can help with this situation as it's getting far beyond a joke. Please help.
