Ross Juniors welcomed back Athletico Ledbury to the Sports Centre for the second time in as many games. Despite this, Ledbury were still unable to counter Ross' attack early on, when Matt Davies played the ball through to his brother Chris, who was unable to find the back of the net after only three minutes.

Seven minutes into the game Rob Mcafee found some great space on the right to put in a pinpoint cross, only for Luke Gray to be denied by a fantastic save by the opponent's goalkeeper.

After only twenty minutes into the game manager Jim Loftus was left scratching his head as he had to make two substitutions due to injuries. Brothers Joe and Ted Loftus were replaced by Craig Pflug and Sam Loftus. This hampered Ross' tempo and flow to the game. For ten minutes they were under pressure and unable to play the great football they usually manage.

Thirty minutes into the game a corner from the right taken from Andy Francis was floated to the near post and was met expertly by Tom Burford. It looped over the stranded goalkeeper making it one nil to Ross.

In the second half Ross began very well and started to keep possession. Ten minutes after the break there was a good move which ended with Andy Francis knocking the ball down to the oncoming Chris Davies, who was unlucky to see his shot fly over the bar.

Juniors finally found their second goal after the hour mark when substitute Craig Pflug won the ball just inside his own half and played it expertly to Andy Francis. He did what he does best and whipped the ball to Luke Gray to tap it in.

Ross' possession was beginning to tell as the chances kept coming. With twenty minutes left they thought they had sealed the win when a long throw from Chris Davies found Luke Gray. He beat his defender and squared it to Harry Hall, who was unable to stretch far enough to make any real contact with the ball.

With twelve minutes remaining the stripes could finally relax after scoring their third goal. Another corner from the right, taken by Harry Hall, was superbly found by the oncoming Luke Gray to head it into the goal.

Luke Gray thought he had scored his hat trick and the goal of the season. But then he picked up the ball forty yards out, had two touches and then struck the ball with real venom. Sadly, it went narrowly wide of the right post.

The match was completely over when Andy Francis passed the ball to Will Barker and from 27 yards out he rolled back the years to curl one in past the Ledbury keeper.

The best move of the game came in injury time. The ball was passed more than ten times until it found Rob Mcafee. He squared the ball unselfishly to the hat trick bound Luke Gray, only for him to fire the ball over the goal from less than two yards.

A very good performance from a team who had to adapt to chances very early on. The Eagle Inn man of the match went to Captain Will Barker who lead by example and deserved his goal and award.
