Two representatives from the Friends of Ross Hospital, Jill Davies and Jill Ursell, paid a visit to Ross Community Hospital on Tuesday, September 22nd, to see the new equipment that had been bought, using money that the society had fundraised.
Staff at the hospital could not speak highly enough of the support given by the Friends. They explained that equipment that is considered both basic and essential is still expensive, but they may struggle to attain funding. The donations from the Friends of Ross Hospital allow them to purchase the equipment they need.
Four reclining chairs, each costing approximately £2,500 were bought with some of the fundraised money. These chairs can be used on the ward, which can help with optimal sitting posture, reduce contractures, and give extra support for anyone with any neurological deficits, such as MS, Dementia and Cerebral Palsy.
