February 29th, Leap Year Day is rapidly approaching, and as many know, this is the traditional day in which women propose to men.

According to a survey conducted by Beefeater, 59% of men in the UK would love it if their girlfriends proposed to them this leap year, but 28% of women are too scared to do it in case they get a bad reaction.

Beefeater have created a perfect Leap Year Day package for nervous girlfriends who have decided to propose to their man.

To ensure the package would be perfect, Beefeater conducted research which studied the differences between men and women’s attitudes towards proposals. It showed that men rank factors such as the method of proposal (56%) and location (26%) higher than the importance of the engagement ring itself.

Unsurprisingly, women proved that diamonds really are a girl’s best friend with two in three (67%) saying that the ring was the highest of their priorities - a stark contrast to just 18% of men.

Only 17% of men said that candles, flowers and romantic gestures would be important to them and 40% proved that food really is the way to a mans heart, stating that their ideal proposal would involve food.

Beefeater’s package has everything a man could ever want; meat, beer and an onion ring instead of an engagement ring.

Not only that, but the steak will arrive on the table with the words "Will You Marry Me?" branded into the meat, so no need for nervous females to worry about getting those famous words out of their mouths - they can let the steak do the talking.
