A man from Gloucester appeared in Hereford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, March 24th, having been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Ivan Thomas Wemyss, a man from Phocle Green near Ross-on-Wye died in November last year after he was in a fatal traffic collision; the crash took place on November 6th and Ivan died in hospital three days later.
Ivan, who was also known as Ian and Devvo, was incredibly well-loved locally. After his death, family, friends and colleagues of the popular 24-year-old paid heart-felt tributes to him; an online donation page was established to raise funds to help pay towards the cost of his funeral, and flowers and messages were left at the scene of the incident on the A49.
Shahram Ali (28) from St Mark Street, Gloucester did not enter a plea at Hereford Magistrates’ Court last Thursday. He has been bailed unconditionally, and he will appear in front of Worcester Crown Court on April 20th.
