VANESSA BRANN, from Ross, won the Gold Medal for the Senior Girls at the recent Hereford Schools Annual Cross Country Championship, representing the John Kyrle High School.
Vanessa has won this title for six consecutive years in every age group since year 7 at John Kyrle.
She and fellow student at JKHS, Jordan Marshall won two medals each for the school at the championships. Jordan won the Silver Medal in the Intermediate Boys Race.
Also for JKHS, Abi Beddard came 9th and Ali Hartland came 11th or 12th in the Junior Girls, while in the Intermediate Girls, Ali Raine was 4th and Beth Williams 6th.
All the John Kyrle High School athletes who competed qualified to represent the Hereford district at the Hereford & Worcester County Championships which was scheduled for Saturday, February 7th, but postponed due to the bad weather.
