Ross Carnival looks as if it should be yet another successful event for the town, thanks to the response to the call out for help the Ross Gazette published recently.
More than 25 people turned up for an open meeting on Wednesday, January 30th at the Eagle Inn.The Carnival Committee was hoping to attract some new Stewards and a Steward Co-ordinator; a Parade Organiser; Fundraising Events Volunteers; a Road Closure Co-ordinator; Princess and Prince float decorators; an Odd Object Co-ordinator as well as a Carnival Field Stall Co-ordinator.
Andrew Buffrey, the Chair of Ross Town Carnival, said it was a fantastic turn out and they really appreciated the local support. He said: “We now have new Committee members and lots of other volunteers so we are looking forward to planning the Carnival to make it a success again this year.”
If you are keen to help, and want to be part of this wonderful event in any way, then please send an email to Andrew at [email protected] or message the committee via their Facebook page @rosstowncarnival.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
