Ross Second XI entertained Hanley Castle at The Park on May 21st in a match sponsored by Bradfords. The home side won the toss and chose to bat and set a total of 221 for 7 from 45 overs.
Opener Dave Daniel (58) was top scorer and he was supported by Nick Tregaskes (36), Stuart Tucker (35) and David Skyrme (32*). For the visitors Peter Wright (12-2-36-3) was the leading wicket taker.
Hanley Castle never looked like chasing the target and were bowled out for 164 in the 43rd over.
Stuart Tucker (10-3-11-1) opened the bowling and was very economical. Adam Troop (31) was top scorer for Hanley Castle, but he was one of six victims for Nick Tregaskes (12-3-30-6) who made a welcome return to the team.
Clive Jones (10-0-56-2) and David Skyrme (2.2-0-10-1) took the other wickets.
