Goodrich CC 1st XI lost narrowly in the final over to Builth Wells 1st XI in division 1 of the GB Marches League on Saturday. Chasing a total of 236 to win they finished on 228 all out with one ball left in their 45 overs.

Goodrich skipper Andy Brown won the toss and asked Builth to bat first. Despite a wicket in the first over, for M Bradford, the Builth batsmen of T Richards (81) and W Williams stayed together until the 17th over when the score was 57-2. Read the full report in this week's Ross Gazette
