Angela Whitehead ran the Severn Bridge Half Marathon on Sunday, August 28th in memory of her mother, Charlotte Howard.

Angela from Goodrich, near Ross-on-Wye, has taken part in several marathons recently. She ran the London Marathon to raise money for MACS, a charity which helps children born without eyes or with severe eye problems.

She also ran in memory of a good friend, and a fellow mum of pupils at Goodrich Primary School, who had recently died, as well as her own Mum.

Her husband, Adrian Whitehead, has also recently been involved in a fundraising trip to Monte Carlo in an old banger.

In June, Adrian and his team travelled from the UK to Namur in Belgium for the start of the race. Over three days they travelled through Luxembourg, France Germany, Switzerland and Italy until they reached Monte Carlo. The journey had to be completed in a car which cost less than £300.
