Pupils at Goodrich Primary School, near Ross-on-Wye, have been involved in a fantastic project at their Forest School. They have created and built their own outdoor wood-burning oven.
The children created the oven shell in the shape of a snail. They built an oven former from willow, then added clay and shaped the snail which they have affectionately named ‘Brian’.
This became a wonderful community project with many hours of voluntary time and materials contributed by parents and local businesses.
The oven was put to good use on Friday, July 15th when dozens of pizzas were cooked for the friends of Goodrich School who attended the school’s Summer Fiesta.
