The residents of Goodrich certainly all pulled together over last weekend to make their annual Harvest and Scarecrow Event an outstanding success.

In beautiful sunshine, hundreds of people viewed the 40 scarecrows displayed in and around the village.

Many visitors completed the Trail, ate the homemade cakes, bought the jams and chutneys and tried on clothes at the fashion show – perhaps with a view to next year’s scarecrows?

All in all, a great time was had by the visitors at the scarecrow festival, and the organisers extend their thanks to everyone who made scarecrows, attended the events and generally supported the Village. The event was in aid of St Giles Church; to keep it at the heart of the community.
