Amy Yates of Gorgeous Grooming celebrated her first anniversary of business at 22 High Street on May 16th, 2017.

Amy told the Ross Gazette: “I have worked through blood, (literally, as dogs sometimes bite) sweat and tears to be able to say I’m a very proud Ross-on-Wye business owner.

“I’m amazed at what the salon has achieved in the last 12 months, I could never have imagined how well it would do. Being fully booked, up to six weeks in advance, during some parts of the year was just unthought of.

“The biggest thank you must go to all my family, friends, local groomers and of course, my customers, new and old, you have all been incredible. The loyalty and friendship I have built with my customers and their dogs gives me the biggest amount of job satisfaction ever.”

To celebrate the first anniversary Amy held a charity dog wash in aid of St Michael’s Hospice, Hereford, at the salon. She is very grateful to professional groomer Vikki from All About Dogs in Newent for giving up the day to lend a helping hand. The team of three, including Amy’s assistant, Becky, groomed 13 dogs and raised a fantastic £225.

The year ahead is also looking very busy and promising of greater success to come. Events are being planned already, there are grooming competitions to enter and lots of new breeds to meet.
