Gorsley Post Office is to move to a new location – the brand new Gorsley Community Shop Gorsley Baptist Church, Gorsley, Ross-on-Wye, HR9 7SE, which opens on Saturday, September 1st.
The previous branch at Gorsley, HR9 7SW, closed temporarily in August 2017 due to the resignation of the Postmaster and the withdrawal of the premises for Post Office use.
Post Office services were restored to the community of Gorsley with the introduction of a temporary Mobile service, which commenced in December 2017. The mobile service currently operates from the car park of Gorsley Baptist Church on Wednesday and Friday afternoons.
The Post Office are now in a position to restore a full-time service to their customers in the local community at the new Gorsley Community Shop, opening inside the Church. It will be one of the new local style branches, with an open-plan till alongside the retail counter.
Opening hours will be Monday to Friday: 8.30am – 5.30pm; Saturday: 9am – 12.30pm.
This would increase opening hours by 46 hours and 30 minutes a week than the current opening hours, making it very convenient to visit.
Whilst the decision has already been made to re-open, they would still like your views on access and service provision at the new location. The consultation will close on 18th September 2018.
Customers can share their views during the consultation online at postofficeviews.co.uk with the branch code 301618, or by telephone 03452 66 01 15 or Textphone 03457 22 33 55.
