ROSS Tennis Centre is introducing one of the UK’s fastest-growing sports to the town thanks to a £4,956 grant from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund to create four new pickleball courts.
The centre, on Walford Road, will be hosting two free ‘Come and Try Pickleball sessions on Sunday December 7 between 10am and noon and between 1pm and 3pm.
The sessions are open to all and will be led by trained coaches. Free beginner courses will run in January 2026.
Membership secretary Gordon Drake said: “Pickleball is easy to learn, social, and great fun. We’re delighted to bring it to Ross.
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances by, investing in communities and supporting local business, people and skills.
