MADAM, I have been informed by the Government that Herefordshire Council has been successful in obtaining Bellwin grant to help with the costs of dealing with the September and November floods of 2008. I am pleased that Herefordshire Council is finally utilising funding made available by central Government to assist local authorities, thereby relieving the burden on council tax payers locally.
