Haigh Engineering, which has been based on Alton Road, Ross-on-Wye, for over 50 years, has been awarded the ‘Employer of the Year’ award at the annual Herefordshire and Worcestershire Group Training Association (HWGTA) apprenticeship awards

Haigh’s association with HWGTA spans many years, as one of the founding partners and this award recognises the achievement and commitment through all aspects of the apprenticeship programme and having a true partnership with HWGTA and the apprentices.

Haigh take apprentice development very seriously and several former apprentices now have key roles in the business including managing distributors for their international business and production of equipment for healthcare in their purpose built factory.

The award follows last years success for Haigh, when HR Manager Ann Sadowski achieved the coveted Apprentice Champion of the Year award.
